A copper alloy Medieval pin or nail head. The head is solid, domed and faceted around its sides, tapering to its shaft which has a square section and a blunt tip. The dome measures 9.79mm in diameter, and the pin is 21mm in length, weighing 3.97g. It may have been used as an upholstery nail, for furniture or a box.
