A complete cast lead pot mend of uncertain date. The pot mend is comprised of two oval discs joined by a central shank and was used to mend a broken vessel in order to lengthen the period of use after damage had occurred.
The gap between the two plates is quite narrow and contains no surviving ceramic material which would help in dating the object.
The metal is a mid grayish-white colour and is worn. The pot mend is 25.9mm long, 16.4mm wide, 9.3mm thick and weighs 16.9g.
