Cast copper alloy openwork mount, possibly a swivel-fitting dating from the late medieval or early post-medieval (Tudor) period, i.e. c. AD1400-1600. The mount is dome-shaped with an openwork decoration of five hearts. It has wavy edges and while the obverse is moulded finely, the inside has a rough surface and was probably not meant to be seen. Being dome-shaped it may have been part of a swivel-fitting.
