Lead alloy pilgrim badge. Cast bag shaped ampulla with a small handle lug flattened against one side of the neck, and with a series of nicks along the edge above and below the lug. One side of the body bears a faint chevron pattern. The top is partly opened; here the vessel sides are 2.2mm thick. Patinated overall. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1500.
