The button is circular in plan with a cast integral shank on the reverse. Only the front face is decorated, it is possible to see the moulded image of a face with long hair, possibly wearing a crown. The edges of the button have been damaged and are bent out of shape in places. The metal is white in colour and is extremely thin.
