Cast copper alloy fitting probably dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The object is oval in plan and flat. The object has two rectangular perforations between which are two vertical flat decorative ridges. Two horizontal ridges run from the outer edge of the perforations to the edge of the object. Each side of the object is damaged next to the ridges. The rear of the object is undecorated and appars to have been hammered. The object possibly functioned as a lock plate however this is uncertain. It has a dark green patina and is in good condition.
