Cast copper alloy single loop buckle and frame dating to the Medieval period. The object consists of a rectangular buckle with a sub-rectangular buckle plate attached to the strap bar. The buckle has a notched lip in the outer frame. The strap bar is narrow and recessed. The narrowed tab at one end of the plate curves around the strap bar. At the other end of the plate are three forked projections. The central projection terminates with a break while the outer two projections terminate with a rounded knop. In the centre of each knop is a small circular iron rivet. The palate is decorated with vertical ridges and grooves. The reverse is undecorated. The object has a mid-green patina. An example of a similar buckle can be seen in Whitehead, (2003), p27, no.142.
