Description by Nicholas Thomas:
This is an edge trimmed flake.
The proximal edge has been retouched or utilized. The whole distal half has been burnt creamy, merging into darkish brown towards the distal edge. The ventral face is plain with no flake scars.
The flint is mottled dark grey in colour at the proximal end. the rest is whitish/brown. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble by the look of its primary cortex.
MERCER (1981) illustrates a similar piece on P131 Fig 57 No L112 which he calls an edge trimmed flake and dates to the Neolithic.
