Description by Nicholas Thomas:
This is a utalized blade flake.
The dorsal face has flake scars along both margins. Both edges have been used and there is possibly some gloss on the straight edges.
The ventral face has scars along both edges and a small bulbal scar. The proximal end is snapped.
The flint is grey in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is difficult to confirm with only tertiary cortex.
MERCER (1981) illustrates a similar piece on P143 Fig 63 No L198 which he calls a truncated flake and dates to the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age.
