A worn and damaged cast lead possible cloth seal of late medieval or early post-medieval date (c. 1485-c. 1700 AD). On the upper surface the object is broadly circular with some squared-off cuts. Initials are moulded in low relief at its centre: 'HR', where the 'H' is ligated with the 'R'; above is what appears to be a crown. On the other side it is too worn to discern what the decoration is, if any; this side has been cut into a sub-square shape. The object now remains light grey in colour due to the corrosion process. It has been bent in profile.
It is possible that the HR refers to Henry VII or VIII.
