A cast copper alloy medieval harness pendant. Its shape is of an equal-armed cross with a suspension element extending from the upper arm. Set at 90degrees from the pendant, the suspension element is15mm long and the hole is 3mm in diameter. A seperate decorative element is fitted through the centre of the cross via a rivet. This central element is circular, 8mm in diameter and 5mm deep. Four points are folded inwards to hold a possble glass or faience bead, approximately 50% of which is still present but very is degraded. The face of the cross has traces of gilding. The reverse is flat.
The pendant is in poor condition, with the egdes being damaged and the surface pitted through corrosion. The suspension loop is bent slightly.
