An extremely worn and coroded copper-alloy Roman sestertius, probably of Nero (Emperor AD 54-68). Although worn, the reverse appears to depict the Emperor standing left with praetorian prefect on low platform on right, raising right hand in address to three soldiers standing right in single file, at least one of who carries a standard. The obverse probably depicts the emperor facing left.

If the coin is indeed of Nero then it fits into Reece's period 3.
