Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch 47mm long, 13mm wide and 22mm thick. The object is in fair condition with and weighs 9.54grams. The object has a rounded head which is decorated with two raised ellipse's which form an oval motif. The bow begins with a slender neck decorated with a slight central ridge. The Shoulder is decorated with a large sub rectangular protrusion which is flanked by a waisted band and a smaller rectangular protrusion. Below this the bow is decorated with two rows of triangular enamel cells flanking a central ridge. The brooch has a rounded stepped foot and a sub triangular catch plate. There is a circular loop behind the brooches head, but the pin is missing.
