A cast copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch, dating to c. 1st to 2nd centuries AD. The trumpet brooch has a typical oval head shape, the pin and spring and catchplate are missing. The object is curved in profile. The bow of the brooch is decorated with a central rounded mouldings, above and blow which, are transverse mouldings. The bow tapers to the foot which is missing. The brooch has a brown/green patina and is worn. It can be dated from 75-175AD.
