A lead vessel mount dating to the Medieval period. The mount is curved in plan and rectangular in section. At one end there is a carved lion's head that includes facial features and ears. A pattern of incised diagonal lines at either side of an incised central line continue along the length of the object. It weighs 88.9g and measures 52.34mm in length and 11.36mm in width. The diameter of the lion's head is 20.33mm and the thickness is 7.35mm. The metal is grey in colour.
