FLAKE

Unique ID: PUBLIC-5ED823

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A small soft hammer struck flake of dark grey brown flint with opaque cream inclusions. The right distal end is obliquely abruptly retouched and the straight right margin is finely semi-abruptly retouched. Perhaps this combination was as a blunt backing for holding the small flake when using the mesal notch in the left margin. Butler(2005) illustrates an oblique truncation on page 111, fig 44, 14.
