Post-medieval silver penny of Elizabeth I, minted in London. First issue, initial mark cross with crosslets dating to 1560-1561.

The obverse has a crowned bust of Elizabeth facing left, surrounded by the inscription .E.D.G.ROSA.SINE.SPINA. , the reverse has a shield quartered by a cross surrounded by the inscription CIVITAS LONDON.

The coin is in fair condition, is 0.5mm thick, 14mm in diameter and weighs 0.48g.
