A post-Medieval cast copper-alloy hooked tag (c. 1500-c. 1625 AD). Read Class E, Type 2.
This tag is moulded at the front and flat at the rear. It has a sub-rectangular attachment loop that has a width of 9.0mm and the opening is sub-oval. The hook is 'D'- shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. It tapers downwards in width slightly, curves rearwards through 180° and terminates with a blunt point.
It is a matt green colour and may have been tinned.
