A Post-Medieval coin: A copper alloy contemporary copy of a silver shilling of Edward VI (1547-1553), second period (1549-1550); initial mark probably Y (1549-1551); minted in London. Year in the reverse inscription written in Roman numerals: MDXLIX (1549). See North, volume 2, page 101, number 1917.
