Edge trimmed flake with some cortex along opposite edge which acts as backing. There is a possible break at the end opposite the point. This end has a naturally flat area.
The flint is a medium grey colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.
Mercer [1981] illustrates a similar example on page 129, Fig 56, No. L100 which is dated to the Neolithic.
