A soft hammer struck flake of cream grey flint with pinkish pebble cortex and slight internal crazing. The flint has been heated and perhaps slightly over-heated before this flake was removed; perhaps as a deliberate act to make it easier to knap. the cortical edge is a useful hold for using the dihedral right edge as a knife. The upper part of that margin is slightly worn with tiny flakes removed. Butler(2005) describes utilised and retouched flakes or blades on page 134.
