A wide, hard hammer removed flake of mottled cream and pinkish light grey flint. There is a stepped flake scar on the dorsal surface. The feathered distal margin has been blunted with abrupt retouch; possibly to make it easier to hold. The pointed left margin is slightly worn and it may have been used as a piercer. Mercer(1981) illustrates a piercer on page 137,fig 60, L173.
