Pottery body sherd made of gabbroic clay that weathers over the gabbro outcrop on the Lizard in Cornwall. The exterior of the sherd has a few small depressions where inclusions have eroded away from the matrix. The fabric has fine inclusions of pale felspars and mica and is orange on the exterior and mid-brown on the interior of the sherd. This type of fabric is seen in Grooved Ware vessels, dating from c.2900-2400 BC (Henrietta Quinnell, forthcoming).
