A copper alloy Roman bow brooch. It is a Colchester one-piece brooch and consists of a short, flat wing case and forward curving hook to secure an external chord which is missing. The bow has a simple curve and is approximately circular in section. The brooch measures 8.95mm in width across the wings, and is 36.51mm in length. No pin or catchplate survive. The brooch weighs 1.87g.
