Flint flake with serrated edge at left hand margin, dorsal side. The flake has snapped or been broken along right hand edge; it is possible that this edge was also serrated. It is either naturally abraded at the distal end or there has been a break here. Possibly a knife before the breaks to the flake edge but is now an edge trimmed flake. There is a small amount of cortex left at proximal end.
The flint is a grey/brown colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.
Mercer [1981] illustrates a similar example on page 131, Fig.57, No.L115 which is dated to the Neolithic.
