A Mesolithic flint burin/piercer dating from about 8500 BC - 3500 BC. It is sub rectangular in plan with some very fine retouch at the distal end of the right side to create the working point. The flint is an opaque grey and is slightly patinated at the edges. Please see Butler's Prehistoric Flintwork, page 131.
