A Post Medieval Silver-tin plated copper alloy jetton of Louis XIV (1643-1715) maded by Wolf Lauffer II, probably dating to the 1640's. Obverse shows a young bust of the King right. Reverse shows crowned French shield bearing three lis. It measures 28.15mm in diameter and weighs 2.3g.
Similar examples can be seen in Mitchener (1988), page 489-90, probably number 1738 which is plated with a thin mix of silver and tin.
