JETTON

Unique ID: WMID-507625

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A copper alloy 'ship penny' jetton, probably struck in Nuremburg during the early to mid-sixteenth century. The jetton is very worn and the reverse cannot be determined. The legends are also largely illegible and it is possible that they may have originally been 'nonsense' legends without any meaning.
