Lead
Offcuts. Two fragments of cast sheet, cut on all sides. The larger was apt for structural use with a thickness of 3mm and was found in a curled strip 66mm long; the smaller is 1.5mm thick and 38mm long. These were found together with material suggesting the melting down of lead, a process which these fragments presumably escaped. Suggested date: Unknown, 40-1800.
