An incomplete cast copper-alloy spoon of uncertain date. The incomplete bowl and start of the stem survive intact, the remainder of the object now missing due to old breaks. It has a large, oval shaped bowl that is missing its outer edge due to old breaks. This tapers towards the stem, which is integrally cast, rectangular in form and section, and extends part way down the back face of the bowl as a central rib. The entire object is very worn with signs of corrosion and post-depositional damage. It measures 59.12mm in length, 34.67mm in width, 10.42mm in thickness and 9.93g in weight.
This spoon bowl is of uncertain date. Although the findspot might indicate a date range as early as the Roman period, it is perhaps more likely to be later in date and possibly as late as the Post-Medieval to Modern periods.
