Ten lead round shot balls, all very round and quite smooth with a faint film or patina of cream coloured oxidisation. Five show no other marks but of the other five, two have very faint casting seams visible. Four of the five also are marked with gouges or short linear cuts some 5-8mm long. Two of these have single linear marks however one ball has two linear marks 7.79mm apart which matches exactly two irregular gouges on the other ball. These marks are presumably the result of the same tool or process. Three also have small flattened circular areas which may be the result of ramming. All the balls seem to represent shot of 0.5 inch calibre and approximately 0.355 ounces.
