A complete silver disc with off-centre centrally-placed hole, decorated with raised eight-petalled flower with interspersed line and dot 'stamen'. Unclear usage, possibly part of a cufflink or a mount. Probably late Post Medieval to early Modern in date. Declared 'Not Treasure' during preliminary assessment; no treasure number attributed to the object.

    I found a similar artefact to this from a Medieval occupation site. It was made in copper alloy rather than silver. See BH-D715C5. I'm surprised this one is dated so late and I think it should be reconsidered under the 1996 Treasure Act.
