Weight; handmade lead suspension weight of uncertain date. The weight is very obviously hand-made as it is a rough and uneven shape, approximately spherical but with some corners. It has two little nubs of iron on one side, which suggest that it originally had an iron suspension loop. An object such as this could be made 'ad hoc' by anyone as they found a need for it and it is therefore very difficult to suggest a date for its manufacture.
