A complete, Post Medieval, cast, lead alloy, medium size uniface token. Linear multi-armed cross or spoked wheel design thought to possibly represent a water mill wheel or grind stone. The reverse of the token is undecorated but has a border or rim around the edge. The token is worn with an even pale grey, matt surface. This token is likely to date to 1500-1799. Ref. Detector Finds, Gordon Bailey, Greenlight Publishing1992, page 56-57 no. 11 & 17, Leaden Tokens and Tallies Roman to Victorian, Edward Fletcher, Greenlight Publishing 2005, page 76 and Tokens & Tallies Through the Ages, Edward Fletcher, Greenlight Publishing 2003, page 29-33. This token measures 22.42mm long, 20.14mm wide, 3.99mm thick, diameter 22.42mm and weighs 10.9g.
