A post medieval silver coin: a penny of the Commonwealth, dating from 1649-1660. There is a small, circular perforation at one o'clock on the obverse. It is 15.8mm in diameter and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 0.83gm. For reference, see North, volume 2, number 2729.
