A rim sherd from a Roman ceramic vessel. The vessel had a large rim diameter of about 30cm. The fabric is a form of grey ware. It is hard and fine grained with a regular fracture. The edges are very abraded, perhaps suggesting water damage, which makes the fabric difficult to see to describe. It is a brown grey colour throughout with white quartz inclusions.
