Gold ring of Henig type IV. The hoop is sub-rectangular in profile and formed of three wires, two twisted and a central beaded wire. These have been flattened and joined longitudinally without the use of a backing plate. They support a cylindrical box bezel with an everted rim, decorated with four small gold globules at the join with the band. The cell is empty but some residue, possibly adhesive, remains in the internal crevices.

Date: Roman, probably 4th century AD Dimensions: diameter: 16.83mm x 13.18mm; height (including bezel): 15.92mm Weight: 3.49g. In age and precious metal content the object does qualify as Treasure under the terms of the 1996 Treasure Act.
