A complete cast lead spindle whorl of medieval date. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with cast decoration on both sides. The decoration is worn and difficult to determine though raised lines radiating from the central perforation to the outer edge can still be seen. The central perforation is large and slightly of centre.
The metal is a mid yellowish-brown colour and is worn. The spindle whorl is 24.5mm in diameter and weighs 23.2g.
