A cast copper-alloy fragment probably from the handle of a medieval vessel, most likely a skillet. The fragment is a narrow trapezoid in plan and rectangular in cross section. The front face of the object is decorated with moulded annulet with two concentric grooves surrounding it. Below this are three transverse linear grooves. The base of the of the object has another linear groove. The ring and dot design can be seen in an example which can be found illustrated in Margeson (1993, 90; ref. 562) which was found in an early 16th-century context but is likely to date from the previous couple of centuries. The reverse is undecorated. A similar object can be seen on the database; HAMP-9C9664

The object is 57.4mm long, 21.7mm wide, 4.7mm thick and weigh 37.01grams.
