A copper alloy Medieval cast bar mount dating from about the 13th Century. The mount has a hemispherical central lobe with projecting arms which terminate in a lobe at either end. The central lobe is decorated with horizontal incised lines and the terminal lobes have central perforations; the rivets are now missing. The central lobe is hollow on the underside and the back of the mount is undecorated. The mount has a dark brown patina.
