A Roman incomplete cast copper alloy radiate plate brooch, in the shape of an eight-pointed star. Dating from the mid to 1st century AD, the star has eight points that reach to the outer edge. This style of brooch is often referred to as the 'sunburst' design. For direct comparisons, see Hattatt (2007) no. 1041-1043.
