The object is triangular in plan with curving sides and a flattened point. The point end is closed but the opposite end is open and was probably attached to the wooden section of the toy gun. Both faces have moulded decoration showing what appears to be leaves and/or flowers within a border of raised lines. There is a lobed knop projecting down from one of the sides. It is likely to be the butt from a toy gun. It measures 52.4mm in length, 26.7mm in width, 11.8mm in thickness and weighs 30.4g.This record was created at a rally and may therefore fall below our usual standards of identification or photography2011-10-06 11:08:272012-02-15 11:23:07412011-07-031Certain113636PAS4E8D7E1B00146C25121SOMLead Alloy11095CastIncompletePOST MEDIEVALPMx41047p0gjgrs6sgxPOST MEDIEVALPMx41047p0gjgrs6sgxMetal detectorCircaCirca44838810578104864346241427Restricted AccessST5437ST53NWWest Pennard26344689810348694SOM-D7E1B2.jpg5Post Medieval Toy GunSomerset County Council5images/kmarsden/South West144Detecting Wales - 3rd July 2011, West Pennard2011-07-032011-07-03Cultivated landEuropean RegionCountySomersetDistrictMendipCivil Parish51.1447-2.63544Restricted AccessReturned to finder95642
