Post Medieval cast, copper ally double-looped buckle. The frame is a pointed oval in plan with open work detail. The frame widens on the outer edge to form the pointed oval. Within the centre of the widest point of the frame is an openwork lozenge. The strap bar is recessed and there is a probable openwork drop shape at either end although it is difficult to tell due to the amount of dirt remaining on this example. The frame is indented to either side of the strap bar at both the top and bottom. The pin is missing. It measures 42.7mm in length, 25.7mm in width, 2.3mm in thickness and weighs 5.01g.

Whitehead (2003; 69) has a similar example, number 434 which is dated to 1550-1650 AD.
