Copper alloy double-looped buckle dating to the Medieval period. The frame is rectangular with five rabbets or gaps along each outer edge, the top and bottom edges have stepped shoulders where they meet the outer edges and a rounded knop in the centre at either end of the strap bar. The strap bar is recessed and the pin is missing. It measures 35.0mm in length, 28.0mm in width, 3.6mm in thickness and weighs 28.39g.
Whitehead (2003; 77) illustrated a similar buckle with bifid knops on the strap bar, no. 476, which is dated to 1400-1500.
