A zoomorphic lead alloy furniture or table fitting of Post-Medieval date, c. 1500-1750.

The fitting is a foot to a piece of furniture, cast solid with a cylindrical socket at one end to fit into a larger object. The whole foot is cast in the shape of the neck and head of an eagle or some other raptor, with an open, hooked beak and beaded eye.
