Two fragments of wheel spun ceramic vessels of post-medieval date. One fragment is from the rim of a vessel while the other is a body sherd. The fabric of both sherds is a mid orangey-red colour and is smooth with an orange and yellow lead glaze with a combed design. This fabric and glazed pattern is similar to the Slipware described in Laing 2003, p.121.
Rim sherd dimensions; 65.1mm x 39.7mm x 16.8mm; weight: 30.5g. The estimated diameter of the original vessel is 34cm and roughly 6% of the original vessel diameter remains.
Body sherd dimensions; 60.6mm x 47.4mm x 13.4mm; weight: 39.4g
