A copper alloy nummus of Gratian, [SECVRITAS] (REI PVBLICAE), Aquileia mint, AD 375 - 378.
RIC IX, p.97, cf.16d (obv) & 18b (rev).
LRBC, p.67, cf.1010 (obv) & 1016ff (rev).
Notes:
Left facing busts are extremely rare on Valentinianic nummi. They are recorded for Gratian on FELICITAS ROMANORVM types from Aquileia (AD 375-8). However, this appears to be a SECVRITAS REI PVBLICAE, and hence might be a new variety.
