A cast copper-alloy ring of probable Medieval date. It is circular in form, hexagonal in section with tool marks visible on some surfaces and casting seams on interior and exterior edges of the ring. The entire object has a dark green patina and measures 28.06mm in external diameter, 3.17mm in thickness and 4.80g in weight. This is a simple copper-alloy ring that may have performed a variety of functions ranging from horse harness fittings through to curtain rings. Its form suggests a Medieval date is most probable, although an earlier or later date cannot be ruled out entirely.
