A complete set of tweezers, dating to the Roman or Early Medieval period (c. 1st-6th c. AD). They are made from a single strip of copper alloy bent to form the two arms with the ends bent inwards and a sub-oval shaped loop at the top. The arms are sub-triangular in plan and expand widely towards the bottom where they curve slightly at the ends to form the jaws. There is no incised surface decoration to further indicate its period of use. One of the tweezer blades has been bent severely backwards, probably after deposition. The tweezers measure 41.34 mm long, 9.18 mm wide, 0.94 mm thick (at blades) and weigh 2.2 grams.
