A fragment of a ceramic vessel of Roman date. The fragment is a body sherd with a possible vestigial handle made from a thumb impression flattening out an area of the vessel. This fabric is similar to the Severn Valley Ware described in Laing (2003: p.60.)
The fabric is hard and quite gritty and a pale orange in colour. The fragment is 46.4mm long, 42.6mm wide, 10.7mm thick and weighs 28.2g.
